Egg whites work best for me and maybe a strip of bacon and a piece of fruit. Lean proteins otherwise. And low glycemic veggies. I have diabetes so I can't tolerate a lot of carbs, cereal, bread, etc.

I have been so lucky not to develop diabetes, Morticia. It runs all throughout my family. Carbs really don't bother me, it's the fats. And I should have known better than to have egg, bacon and cheese all the same day. I paid for it! Are you able to control your diabetes by diet or metformin. Hopefully not insulin?

I do pretty much same as John. I have eggs one day, oatmeal or yogurt with fruit the next, then a protein shake , and back to eggs.

All good suggestions! Biggest reason I stick with the yogurt bowl for breakfast (besides it being my favorite) is it packs a lot of fiber and protein into one meal for not much fat and calories. I switch it up now and then. Love oatmeal and fruit and nuts. Eggs and bacon only occasionally😊
